Acura RSX with Work Wheels, Fortune Auto, APR, and More!

Our customer Melanie has a nice and clean Acura RSX with tasteful modifications.  The Front Wheel Drive machine can definitely benefit from some good suspension to help with the understeer that is common on these high revving engines.  A set of Fortune Auto Coilovers was added along with a set of SPC rear camber arms.  The highly engineered 500 Series coilovers feature new valving that provide 40% less drag in their shock seals.  The front coilovers include new camber plates while the rear use the stock mounts.  The front adjustable plates allow you to get maximum camber needed for best traction on the track.  The car sits nice on a set of JDM Work CR Ultimate Wheels which are square at 17×9 +28mm.  Attention to quality is recognized with these Michelin Pilot Sport Tires in a 245/40/17 to really hook up with the pavement.  Aero parts including the APR GTC-200 rear spoiler and performance parts from Skunk2 round out the mods.  Overall its a work in progress and a well fitted car.  We appreciate the Vivid Racing love too!

Acura NSX Clean Lines with Seibon and Downforce Carbon

The Acura NSX is one of the timeless sports cars ever.  The high revving, mid engine machine really could be put in the supercar class especially with its $100,000 price tag.  Add some boost to these and they were simply rear wheel drive rockets.  The NSX is harder and harder to find in very clean condition.  However the cult following of the NSX will never die and as the new 2016 Acura NSX comes to fruition, the older model is still highly desired.  This customer of Team Member Ahmed, geared his silver body NSX with some clean Seibon and Downforce parts.  The car features Seibon’s carbon fiber front lip and rear valance that have been painted to match.  To wrap the body in a full aero trim, the car has also been equipped with Downforce “Stacy” side skirts.  The most important part of this upgrade…  the 5 star review the customer gave us!  Check out the pics below.

Niche Targa Wheels on 2014 Range Rover Sport HSE

The Niche Wheels brand has been very close to Vivid Racing for the past several years.  Starting with our Nissan GT-R and BMW F10 M5, we have continued to use them on our Project Porsche 997.2 Turbo S and 991 Turbo.  Most recently we fitted Niche wheels to our SRT Viper, CLA45, and McLaren 12C.  Our customer from Brunei just got his new Range Rover Sport HSE (which I LOVE this body style) and equipped it with a set of Niche Targa 22 inch wheels.  This Targa design is similar to the 1 pc forged wheel we had on our center lock 997.2 Turbo S wheels.  The Niche Targa Wheels featured here are a 1 piece cast wheel in 22×10.5 5×120 +40mm size at all 4 corners.  The black semi gloss finish is perfect for the dark red SUV color.  Enjoy the pics and also check out all the Niche Wheels Here.

We Love a Good Nissan GT-R!

This customers Nissan GT-R is on point.  Before it hit the USA in 2009, this rare supercar level Skyline R34 was on every enthusiasts bucket list.  But once it hit the shores, it was game over for the tuner world.  For the best 6 years now, the performance, styling, and modifications have gone bonkers.  Our customer Eric is no different.  For the average picture looker, it seems like a stockish GTR, but its all in the details.  First off, he has outfitted the car with a set of uber expensive and rear Volk Racing TE37 Ultra wheels.  The 20 inch wheel set accomondates the stock tires and on a performance level, you cannot beat the Japanese wheel maker.  The new TE37 Ultra is a 1 piece forged wheel featuring a new engraved logo.  If you follow the TE37 history, the style does not change but the details do!  These are done in bronze featuring a front wheel with face 3 and a rear wheel in face 4 which has to do with the concavity.

Further styling gets help from a carbon fiber APR Performance front lip, Z-Style side skirts, Varis style rear shrouds, Personal Designed Diffuser Fans aka Face 3 from Difflow, and a Godspeed carbon fiber spoiler.  An extra touch of carbon fiber was done on the exhaust guards that go around the tips.  Now its time to get busy with power.  Eric hooked up the car with a set of AMS downpipes, and full Meisterschaft GTC exhaust (our favorite), ID1000cc injectors, a drop in Deatscheworks fuel pump, and then had a customer Cobb AccessPort ECU tune.  With some other engine goodies such as Cobb 3 inch intakes and a GotBoost Oil Catch Can, we are guessing Eric is shooting past the 800 horsepower mark like our old Project Nissan GT-R did.  Thanks for sharing Eric and check him out on Instagram at @jinetics.

Fresh Fitment BMW F10 M5 with Vorsteiner V-FF 103 Wheels

Our customer Julio got hooked up with a fresh set of Vorsteiner V-FF 103 wheels for his BMW F10 M5.  The 21 inch Flow Forged setup has been finished in Carbon Graphite.  The wheels were wrapped by us with a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in a 255/30/21 and a 305/25/21.  The M5 has already been lowered on H&R springs which give it a stunning stance and functional ride.  The Flow Forged wheels are a combination process of a forging and casting to create a very strong, lightweight, and affordable wheel.  20 inch Vorsteiner wheels start as low as $2400 a set!  Check out all the Vorsteiner Flow Forged Wheels Here.

BMW X3 N55 Boosted Up with VR Tuned Tuning Box

The N55 single turbo motor is available as the 35I variant in most all BMW platforms.  The same 306hp found in the 335I is also found in cars or SUVs like the BMW X3.  To boost the power and performance of this turbocharged engine, there is 2 ways.  You can do an ECU flash on the vehicle by removing the ECU and mailing it in to be bench flashed, or you can do one of the plug and play tuning box kits.  The Tuning Box Kits tap into your vehicles manifold pressure, boost pressure, and camshaft sensor.  The Tuning Box features a microprocessor that controls the signals and gives your 35I X3 engine over 40 horsepower to the wheels.  Since the Tuning Box is plug and play, they are really simple to install and can be removed for even the most basic warranty work without cutting or tampering with the engine.  This customers black X3 is now enjoying all the performance improvements that the VR Tuned Tuning Box Kit has to offer!

Happy Customer with KW Coilovers on a Nissan 350Z

Here are some shots from our customers that just got his Christmas early from Vivid Racing.  He geared his Nissan 350Z up nicely with wheels, coilovers, clutch, brakes, intake, short shifter, and exhaust.  The 350Z has become a classic rear wheel drive sports car and even replacing the 240SX as the car to have.  Out of all the mods he did, the KW V3 coilover kit was one of the best.  Independent rebound and compression, the KW V3 are the ultimate street and track performing coilover out there.  The real question now is which is Mans Best Friend!  Follow his build and more pics on Instagram at boss350z.

Porsche Panamera V8 Gets Meisterschaft Growl

One of our customers was so pumped about our Project Panamera Turbo Meisterschaft video that he just had to have one of their exhausts for his Panamera S.  The Panamera S comes with a 400HP normally aspirated V8 engine with enough ponies to create some fun.  Meisterschaft is extremely well known in the BMW market for their M3 and M5 exhaust systems.  Having systems for many other cars such as Mercedes and supercars like Lamborghini, they are without a doubt one of the best in the biz.  Their exhaust systems for the Porsche Panamera are available in the GTC (valvetronic) and GTS (sport version) in both stainless and titanium.  Here is a short revving clip from our customers Panamera S with the Meisterschaft GTS exhaust.  Check out more Meisterschaft Exhausts here.

Don"t Be Boring, Add Color to Your Stopping Power

We are always posting about ways to make your car faster, but in actuality, speed without control is useless. The fastest track times are in part because of how fast the car is, but a lot of it has to do with the driver and what they know about how to harness and control power. This customer needed a braking system that could keep up with his M3. He came to us knowing that a quality system will not only last you longer, but that having the power to stop when you want is worth the investment.

Brembo is one of our preferred braking systems. We have used them on a ton of our past project cars. They are constantly improving their technology and applications. So when this customer wanted quality, there was only one name to go with. He chose the Big Brake Kit with the yellow calipers to add a pop of color to his traditional BMW Blue M3. Customer does Complete STI Conversion

We haven’t posted anything Subaru related in a while it feels like so when we got these pictures in of this customer’s project Subaru, we had to share them. This customer did a complete STI conversion on it. For those of you who are new to the tuner world, a complete STI conversion means pulling out the U.S.-spec five-speed transmission and 227-hp engine and replacing it with the 271-horsepower, J-spec model. There are arguments as to which model is better but those true tuners will appreciate the time and physical labor it takes to make the swap. Few people have attempted, and we’re pumped to have picture from a customer ballsy enough to complete the rare transformation. It took this guy and his father 16 straight days of work to complete the job. Talk about an epic father son project.
