Eventuri Carbon Fiber BMW Intakes are Here!

Eventuri has made a huge hit in the USA with their carbon fiber air intake kits for BMW models.  Their most popular kit is for the new BMW F8x M3 M4 cars featuring a full carbon fiber or colored kevlar induction system.  The Eventuri intake filter features a front inlet which the air passes through with its carbon fiber heat shielding.  Eventuri, obviously named after a Venturi, is a creative and proven way to improve air flow and performance to the vehicles engine.  These full OEM intake replacement kits feature everything you need for a direct installation.  Kits are available for the BMW F10 and E60 M5, E46 M3, as well as the Z4M.

A little fun fact for you, the Venturi effect is the reduction in fluid pressure that results when a fluid flows through a constricted section of pipe.  A tubular setup known as a Venturi tube or simply a venturi is the principle of how fluid flows through a length of pipe of varying diameter. To avoid undue drag, a Venturi tube typically has an entry cone of 30 degrees and an exit cone of 5 degrees.

Matte Red Wrapped BMW F80 M3

Matte wrapping of vehicles, aka vinyl wrap, has been going on for years.  As a cheaper alternative to painting an entire car, the matte wrap allows you to have a fresh new look, protect your vehicle paint, and easily change up your style if needed.  Vivid Racing has played the wrap game with several of our own cars such as our Project Porsche 997 Turbo, Project Ferrari 360, Project BMW M5 E60, and a hand full of customer cars.

We are always posting about ways to make your car faster, but in actuality, speed without control is useless. The fastest track times are in part because of how fast the car is, but a lot of it has to do with the driver and what they know about how to harness and control power. This customer needed a braking system that could keep up with his M3. VR Supercharged BMW M3 in Modified Magazine Jan 2014 Issue

Back in 2003 we graced the inside of our first magazine known as Super Street.  50 plus features, tech articles, event articles, and more later, we are still at it and this time with Modified Magazine.  Modified Magazine has done a lot with Vivid Racing over the years.  Featuring our Subaru WRX II in 2004, our Mitsubishi EVO VIII, a multi-part story on the Pepsi RX8, Modified Magazine is proving that print is not dead (RIP Sport Compact Car).  So fresh for the January 2014 Modified Magazine is a feature on our VF Engineering supercharged BMW M3.  This BMW M3 was an amazing project car to us.  The E90 M3 already is a beast in its own with the V8.  The VF640 kit puts a dyno proven 150+ horsepower to the wheels. With upgraded Brembo Brakes, KW Coilovers, H&R sway bars, and Niche Wheels, this really was the best daily driver ever.  Between our installation videos, Getaway in Phoenix Blonde Bombshell video, and our epic desert drift video, we definitely put in work with this car.

BMW M3 E90 Installation of KW HAS Coilovers and Status Racing Seats

Even though we sold our Project BMW M3 E90 back in July, the new owner decided he was ready for more mods to this famed machine.  Having the factory EDC suspension with H&R springs and stock struts, it was time to upgrade.  Vivid Racing installed a set of the new KW HAS coilovers on the car.  Utilizing the factory setup, KW supplies new adjustable coil springs so you can lower the car and retain the amazing Electronic Dampening Suspension.  The suspension was lowered to the same ride height as the H&R springs to provide just a small tucked and flush fit of the Niche wheels.  Once installed and an alignment was completed, the owner drove the car and was estatic on how the suspension transformed the car.

In addition to the KW’s, we put the perfect upgrade inside the car from our partners, Status Racing.  Using their Icon Seat Configurator, we created a new set of Ring GT-X seats with blue carbon fiber shells.  The seats were done in all black ultrasuede with matching blue stitching.  The Ring GT-X was built to accomondate more of a daily driver with up to a 38 inch waist while keeping them secure on and off the track.  Enjoy the video and all these photos.  If interested in any of these BMW Accessories, give us a call!
