Godzilla Fully Wrapped in Carbon Fiber

This is our sales guy Sean"s customer (sean@vividracing.com ext. 226). This 2012 Godzilla was originally a stock, white, black edition GT-R. DDW Partners wanted make sure this GT-R looked nothing like other GT-R"s on the road, and the DDW Partner project car was born. Since then they"ve built this thing into a sexy carbon fiber beast. That"s right, the ENTIRE car is wrapped in a 3M carbon fiber vinyl. To go along with that custom wrap, he came to us for the final carbon fiber touches. He went with the dry carbon fiber hood, a SR Style trunk lid and SR Style dry carbon fiber wing, all from Seibon. On board he has a sexy set of custom ADV.1"s coming in. ADV.1 Makes Mundane Look Insane

One of the things we love about what we do, is taking the mundane, and making it look insane! All of our project cars are just dreams being lived out. We take an idea of what something could be, and with the right tools (and some cash flow), we make our vision a reality. If you’ve ever made a video, you can appreciate how videographer’s take simple shots and make them into rolling pieces of art. This new ADV.1 video proves our point exactly. This was one of our favorite customer car’s. It’s been a while since we blogged about him and we’re excited to see him back, and still kicking ass! As if his 997 Turbo didn’t stand out enough on the streets of Turkey, last time we checked in with him he painted it, “Papa Smurf” Blue. His recent correspondence was a video of a race between him and a GT-R that is outfitted with Akrapovic Exhaust, Agency Power Downpipe and Cobb Tuning.

Since 2002 they have been debut ground breaking aero parts for the most popular makes and models at SEMA. “Underbody components such as front air dams, under-trays, and rear diffusers are essential for maximizing aerodynamic performance. This Front Air Dam includes two integrated brake cooling ducts (2.5″ inner diameter). These cooling ducts can be used to attach cooling hoses (not included) that lead to the brake system for maximum braking consistency on the track. This Front Air Dam also utilizes a built-in aerodynamic splitter design that creates a high-pressure region of air atop the protruding surface, further reducing lift and increasing net downforce.”

GT-R’s are becoming more and more common in the tuner world. The desire to modify and be set apart from one another, has never been stronger. Between carbon upgrades and aero kits, the next best aesthetic upgrade is a wicked set of wheels and tires. In my opinion, the GT-R is the hulk of the tuner industry. It’s like dating a girl who fights UFC. She’s pretty to look at, but she can still kick your ass! That’s why when looking for a set of wheels, you want something that will have the Medusa effect on people. They can’t help but look at your wheels, but once their eyes lock, they can’t stop!

Boost Logic Pumps Up the VR Nissan GT-R

Vivid Racing’s Nissan GT-R project is going on slowly, but we can’t say the same for the horsepower.  Already equipped with the VR700HP kit featuring the AP titanium exhaust, catless downpipes, Cobb Pro Tune, we have also further upgraded the injectors and intercooler kit.  But the latest upgrade comes from our friends at Boost Logic.  The masters of GTR tuning have been on a hot streak of releasing new parts for Godzilla.  Their latest creation is this upgraded intake plenum used on their 1000+ horsepower kits.  Including new intercooler piping with Tial blow off valves, under the hood is now a work of art.  The intake plenum is designed to flow much more air through the heads and adding up to a very strong and legitimate 40+ horsepower.

The GT-R is one of the most desired tuner vehicles available today.  There is no shortage of bolt-on parts available that make this race-ready vehicle faster on the street or track.  The Boost Logic Intake Manifold on our GT-R project car is just an example of the ingenuity and engineering that tuners are doing to make the Nissan 1 step faster than its nemesis, the Porsche 911 Turbo.
