750 Horsepower Cadillac CTS-V Coupe and a Dyno

One of our customers shared with us these pics of his Cadillac CTS-V Coupe that, well, kills it on the dyno and the half mile!  Though he ordered a small part from us, his vehicles power and performance definitely needs to be shared.  One his recent dyno run, the car made 756 horsepower and 773 ft/lbs of torque!  This was only running 17psi of boost.  The car is built for higher boost levels and a large shot of nitrous to put it well into the 800 horsepower range.  Check out his pics and videos below.  Got a Cadillac, check out all our CTS-V Performance Parts Here.

Stay Grounded at Airplane Speeds

With SEMA right around the corner, APR Performance is one of the companies we can’t wait to see. Since 2002 they have been debut ground breaking aero parts for the most popular makes and models at SEMA. Although we love the aesthetic enhancements APR adds, we admire that APR’s primary focus,  is how their parts are going to help the car aerodynamically. APR Performance, not only adds performance value to your car, they give you a great look too. This is their newest part for the Nissan GT-R. Their Front Air Dam allows your GT-R to stay grounded, at airplane speeds. Here’s what they had to say about their new front Air Dam,

“Underbody components such as front air dams, under-trays, and rear diffusers are essential for maximizing aerodynamic performance. This Front Air Dam includes two integrated brake cooling ducts (2.5″ inner diameter). These cooling ducts can be used to attach cooling hoses (not included) that lead to the brake system for maximum braking consistency on the track. This Front Air Dam also utilizes a built-in aerodynamic splitter design that creates a high-pressure region of air atop the protruding surface, further reducing lift and increasing net downforce.”

The APR Performance Front Air Dam integrates with the factory front bumper to:

- Reduce lift
- Increase front-end stability
- Improve high-speed cornering grip

Subaru STI 2011 Time Attack Proper Setup

Almost 3 years ago we showed off a customers 2011 Subaru STI sedan from south of the border in Mexico.  This customer of ours has built hundreds of cars for him and his friends.  When we first debuted this STI here, we showed off some of the incredible parts it was running like the Brembo big brake kit, Tein super racing coilovers, Agency Power control arms and sway bars, plus a lot more.  Having had a set of Volk Racing TE37SL wheels and a set of Advan RS wheels on slicks for the track, this Subaru was built to win.  Fast forward 3 years later and he has forwarded us some updated pictures.  Now equipped with his sponsors livery, he has also added a APR carbon fiber rear wing to improve downforce at top speeds.  Also noticeably different is the Seibon carbon fiber vented race hood.  At the end of the day, if he does not beat you in this, he will probably just jump in his Porsche GT3RS 4.0L, Ferrari 16M Scuderia, or maybe his buddies Bugatti Veyron!  Love the stickers!

New GT-250 Adjustable Wing from APR Performance

No matter what racing you do, you know that anything that can give you even the slightest edge on the competition can make all the difference. APR is an aero company we have worked with for a while. When they say their items will shave seconds of your track time, we’ve personally seen the difference. Not to mention, customer’s of ours have told us about the improvements their APR products have given them. Not long ago, we had a customer use APR on his Lotus. You can read the story here but, the aero products shaved seconds off his time. That’s the difference between a loss and a win. Here’s what APR had to say about their new GT-250 Adjustable Wing.

APR Performance Adjustable Wings can give you that edge to achieve faster lap times. By reducing lift and increasing downforce, you can gain extra traction during high speed cornering. Although adjustable wings aren’t specifically a suspension component, they play a crucial role to the handling characteristics of a car. By adjusting the angle of attack on an adjustable wing, you can dial in the amount of downforce for better car control. This allows your car to have more or less over steer characteristics, giving you additional control to tune the rear traction of your car.”

Not only will your car look like an attack vehicle, it will perform like a trained assassin. Here are some scientific images that show how exactly the wing adjusts and helps with the function on the car.

Mitsubishi EVO VIII Still Reppin Vivid Racing Since 2004

Along time ago back in Vivid II (how we refer to locations), a tall older gentleman by the name of Dave brought his yellow Mitsubishi EVO VIII to us.  In his early 60′s, Dave built this car over the next 2 years into something that did not fit his business like image.  However that did not matter cause he sure had fun as hell doing it.  Commuting back and forth from Lake Havasu to fly out around the country, Dave wanted a car that handled amazingly, sounded great, and when on the 2 lane highway in the middle of the desert, he could blast it hard.  Eventually Dave sold his EVO VIII to a guy in Colorado.  Since then, we have not heard from Dave or the new owner.  Low and behold, its still around and reppin Vivid Racing hard!  The car features parts from Sparco, Cusco, Volk Racing, APR Carbon, Ralliart Japan, and much more.  Much respect for still reppin and keeping one of our favorite cars movin tough!  Check out all these Mitsubishi EVO VIII Parts Here.

Classic Mitsubishi EVO IX Tastefully Modded

One of our Instagram friends recently sent us some photos of his ride.  The Mitsubishi EVO IX looks well done in a simple black and silver combo.  With the addition of a APR carbon wind splitter, Enkei NT-03 wheels, and some horsepower mods, we salute erenc519 for a great job!  Having owned and driven a Mitsubishi EVO VIII, this is one of the best cars ever made.  Its raw sense of handling, quick power, and well balanced awd system makes this car one of our favorite project rides ever.  Check out more Mitsubishi EVO IX Engine Parts here.
