Akrapovic Evolution Line systems for the BMW X5M (F85) and X6M (F86) are now in stock and available for order. Evolution exhaust systems are usually based on the slip-on system, with additional link pipes. This system helps deliver even more power and torque, a unique resonant sound and weight reductions. These systems are available with a range of tailpipes in either carbon fiber or titanium. They will be a great addition to the already powerful and aggressive BMW SUV models, the X5M and X6M.

Constructed from lightweight high-grade titanium with complex parts, including valve housings, the Evolution Line provides a weight savings over the stock system. To add to its line of advantages, this exhaust system also increases power and torque throughout the rev range. The Evolution Line has been designed to meet CARB approval as a plug-and-play system, and fits directly onto the BMW X5M and X6M’s stock downpipes. It is tuned to provide a perfect sound accompaniment to the BMW M-Performance sporty feel and is finished with handcrafted carbon fiber tail pipes to offer an appearance that matches its sound.

The distinctive round design tailpipes have titanium inner parts to make them stand out even more from the crowd and others on the road. The tailpipes have been impeccably crafted and designed to fit seamlessly with the optional carbon fiber diffuser. The optional Akrapovic Sound Kit is also available with this system. Akrapovic Exhaust Systems for the Chevrolet Corvette C6 and C7

The Akrapovic company was founded in Slovenia a quarter century ago by former motorcycle racer Igor Akrapovic. Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06/ZR1

The stainless-steel slip-on line systems for the Chevrolet C6 replace the stock exhaust from the center link pipes, back. The weight difference between the Akrapovic slip-on mufflers and the stock system is approximately 9lbs. Akrapovic’s slip-on line systems increase the power and torque of the Corvette V8 engine, while improving throttle response, all achieved without removing the catalytic converters. Finally, the most dramatic improvement is in the sound: the slip-on line exhaust gives the C6 a much deeper and throatier growl. The Akrapovic Sound Kit is also available as an option; it allows for full control of the dual-mode valves. Be sure to complete the look with a set of exquisite 115mm or larger 125mm tailpipes in either titanium or carbon fiber.

Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray/Z06

The Akrapovic evolution line system for the Chevrolet Corvette C7 takes exhaust tuning to the next level. Featuring mufflers and link-pipes made from high-grade titanium to dramatically reduce the overall weight, the system provides more power, lowers back pressure and increases torque. With four valves, the first pair operates in four-cylinder mode and the second set comes into action following the driver’s specifications. With an electronic device developed by Akrapovic engineers for the five standard GM modes—Weather, Eco, Tour, Sport and Track, the system is perfectly matched to operate with the car’s drive mode selector. This produces an even greater range of options for the driver to fully experience the amazing sound of the car.

The evolution line system, with a new X-pipe, provides even greater performance compared to the slip-on line system and adds a pure race-note soundtrack for this stunning engine with the enhanced sound characteristics of the V8 configuration without any drone – just pure enjoyment! Four large-diameter carbon fiber tail pipes with titanium inners complete the appearance of the evolution line perfectly, making it stand out as something special.

Akrapovic exhaust systems for the Porsche Cayman GT4 are now in stock and available for purchase. Akrapovic’s engineers have spent months developing a slip-on line exhaust system that takes the driving experience to a whole new level. The fully titanium exhaust system for the GT4 features three muffler configurations that save weight at the rear axle, reduce back pressure and create a more linear power curve. In addition, this system works meticulously to improve handling with increased power and torque gained with better gas-flow dynamics. Akrapovic is also proud to announce an optional Akrapovic Sound Kit (required for non-PSE cars) that enables drivers to control the sound of the system from inside their vehicle. Using Akrapovic technology, drivers can easily switch between the quiet mode and a sportier sound at the push of a button. It doesn’t get more convenient than that. This works through the use of a receiver to drive the actuators that open and close the valves. By doing so, drivers can use the Sound Remote Controller or the new smartphone app (for iOS and Android) to regulate the valves.

Eargasmic Porsche 991 GT3 with Akrapovic Exhaust

The Porsche 991 GT3 may be one of the best out of the box track vehicles.  Even though Porsche said goodbye to the manual transmission and fitted this car with a 7 speed PDK dual clutch tranny, the near 500 horsepower, rear wheel drive machine is very intense.  What makes the Porsche 991 GT3 so awesome for the track is its attention to detail with weight, dynamic traction control, suspension, and high revving linear power.  As we experienced with our own Project GT3RS, there is not much to do to these cars.  But if you are going to upgrade, an exhaust is the perfect way to go.

When it comes to the best, and I do not use that term lightly, Akrapovic is it.  The Slovenian company produces pure art in form of their titanium exhaust systems.  The notes that come from the rear end are harmoniously pleasing yet for the untrained ear, frightening at times.  Our customer scooped up this full Evolution Raceline 991 GT3 Exhaust for his Porsche.  It includes new headers with 100 cell high flow catalytic converters.  The main muffler box is replaced with a more free flowing system and features a new dual tip out the center exit muffler.  Saving 49lbs over stock, the new exhaust system makes nearly 17hp and 37ft/lbs of torque over stock!  The weight savings alone is worth the staggering price of $10,865.  But again, if you want the best, Akrapovic is the only way to go.  With applications for cars like BMW, Porsche, Lamborghini, Audi, Mini, Nissan GTR, and more, if you are ready to play ball, than Akrapovic is where it is at.

Porsche 991 Turbo S Akrapovic Installation

Here is another excellent example of the pure quality that Akrapovic brings to the exhaust world on this Porsche 991 Turbo S.  This latest build we did at Vivid Racing is very similar to the black one here, but with only 800 miles on the clock, we did not want to dyno it yet.  The car features Akrapovic complete titanium exhaust system with titanium high flow catalytic converters.  The rear end is changed with the addition of Akrapovic oval tips in a new carbon fiber surround.  In addition to the Akrapovic exhaust, the car also received a set of Fabspeed Headers, Cobb Tuning AccessPort, BMC Air Filter, and was lowered on a set of H&R Springs.  Of course we are very partial to white from our Project 991 Turbo :)
