Here is another excellent example of the pure quality that Akrapovic brings to the exhaust world on this Porsche 991 Turbo S. Â This latest build we did at Vivid Racing is very similar to the black one here, but with only 800 miles on the clock, we did not want to dyno it yet. Â The car features Akrapovic complete titanium exhaust system with titanium high flow catalytic converters. Â The rear end is changed with the addition of Akrapovic oval tips in a new carbon fiber surround. Â In addition to the Akrapovic exhaust, the car also received a set of Fabspeed Headers, Cobb Tuning AccessPort, BMC Air Filter, and was lowered on a set of H&R Springs. Suspension setup is extremely important whether you are street driving or track driving for optimal handling. Â When a vehicle is lowered, it changes the suspension geometry which requires an alignment. Â Most of the time, you can align the car back to factory specifications. Â But in some instances you want to really dial it in. Â The rear camber and toe adjustments are a key element in the way your vehicle will handle. Â Equally as important is the front of the car. Â To much negative camber could cause premature wear to the tires while to much toe could make your car feel “darty”. Â Whenever you do a full custom suspension setup and alignment, you need to take into account the type and function of coilovers, tire choice, driving conditions, and even drivers weight.
To help dial in the suspension of the Porsche 991 Carrera and 991 Turbo, Agency Power has developed these rear adjustable control arms.  For a decade, Agency Power has been doing CNC machined suspension components.  Everything from sway bar links, bushing inserts, and of course, control arms.  Having produced popular control arm kits for cars like the Porsche 996/997 Turbo, Subaru STI, Scion FRS, Ford Focus ST, the Porsche 991 arms are now available.  They feature 6061 aluminum that has been precision CNC machined at our Arizona facility.  The control arms are designed as complete OEM replacements.  Compared to stock, these control arms remove the factory rubber bushings with solid mounts to provide a more responsive feel.  The 3 piece, teflon lined rod ends thread into the billet aluminum arms to offer you further camber adjustments over stock.  Each rod end includes 2 stainless steel spacers which attach to the vehicle rear frame assembly.
The control arms have been anodized black and feature the Agency Power logo. Â These arms are sold as a pair and will fit all Porsche 991 Carrera and Turbo models from 2012 and up. Porsche 991 Control Arm Installation Photos
We pulled the rear wheels to reduce the sprung weight and make for an easier install.
Here you remove the nut and bolt from the wheel carrier.
Simple hand tools can be used or of course power tools to remove the bolt and nut.
Now when you go to remove the factory centric nut, make sure you mark where it was so you can get it as close to your stock setting as you need. Â This of course if you are getting an alignment right away.

To get better access, remove the sway bar bushing mount. Â Perfect to do a rear sway bar as well!
Now that the 2 arms are side by side, you can compare the differences. Â Set the length of the Agency Power control arm so it is equal to the stock one.
Installing them we first added the arm to the rear sub-frame section. Â Line up your markings and then get the nut and bolt torqued down.
Swing it up, then slide the bolt and nut through the arm and wheel carrier.
Our Project 991 Turbo is in different hands now, but we are fortunate enough to be able to still play with it. Â Having a slew of power proven parts already, we wanted to make a new part that would be loud, make power, and drive the fanboys nuts! Â So we did :) Â Just like we built on our Project 997 Turbo, these straight pipes, aka Bazooka Shooters, are a turbochargers dream. Â Fabricated here in our Gilbert, Arizona facility, they feature 3 inch stainless steel piping that fits harmonously with the stock or aftermarket tips. Â Retaining the bungs for the O2 sensors, you can be sure that without a tune, these will give you a CEL. Â But with the power, feracity, and sound that these give you, a weekend of fun will make that light go away till you are ready to reinstall your regular exhaust.
We tested these on our 991 Turbo and kept the only variable different being the exhaust. Â Already equipped with the VR Tuned Tuning Box, AP Y-Pipe, AP Intakes, and AP Headers, this car has some balls. Â With the straight pipes, the turbos spooled up much quicker making peak torque almost 400rpm quicker. Â From the start of test at 2500 rpm to 3800 rpm, the car made an additional 65 ft/lbs of torque. Â Torque stayed strong through the midrange with an additonal 25 ft/lbs. Â Horsepower was increased in the midrange around 5200 rpm with a peak of about 40 awhp. Â All of these tests were done on our Mustang AWD Dyno with 91octane and an ambient temperature of around 90F.
