Porsche 991 Turbo S Akrapovic Installation

Here is another excellent example of the pure quality that Akrapovic brings to the exhaust world on this Porsche 991 Turbo S.  This latest build we did at Vivid Racing is very similar to the black one here, but with only 800 miles on the clock, we did not want to dyno it yet.  The car features Akrapovic complete titanium exhaust system with titanium high flow catalytic converters.  The rear end is changed with the addition of Akrapovic oval tips in a new carbon fiber surround.  In addition to the Akrapovic exhaust, the car also received a set of Fabspeed Headers, Cobb Tuning AccessPort, BMC Air Filter, and was lowered on a set of H&R Springs.  Of course we are very partial to white from our Project 991 Turbo :)

Whoop Ass on a Porsche 991 Turbo S in the 1/2 Mile

The Porsche 991 Turbo comes equipped with 520 horsepower while the Turbo S gets 580 horsepower.  It is said that the Turbo S can reach 0-60 in a quick 2.9 seconds.  So what do you get for spending about $40K more on the Turbo S?  Well you only have a little bit to gain as the turbochargers are tweaked already.  At most, you might get up to 620-630 horsepower to the crank.  However when you take a stock Turbo, put $15K into it, you are ahead by miles!  This particular customer ran his Porsche 991 Turbo at the Wanagofast Event in Georgia equipped with our VR Tuned Tuning Box Kit, Fabspeed Headers and X-Pipe, as well as a IPD plenum and destroyed this 991 Turbo S.  As we have tested with our own Project 991 Turbo, the VR Tuned box, Agency Power headers and titanium mufflers, along with our high flow Y-pipe and intakes yields about 630 bhp.  Check out this Video and judge for yourself!

Australian Porsche Cayman S Gets VR Tuned

The Porsche Cayman S is a great car for daily driving and doing weekend track events.  Basic upgrades turn the mid engine 2 door into a really fun machine.  The 3 basic upgrades generally consist of a exhaust system which removes the unecessary 2nd cats, a high flow replacement filter, and of course, the ECU flash.  As we discussed in our previous dyno article here, the Cayman is one that improves throughout the entire power curve.  Driveability, as well as useability, are gained and as the ECU adapts, only gets better. In addition the ECU Flash, this car is also running a Fabspeed exhaust system.  The Fabspeed Cayman exhaust features a nice header back design in all stainless steel with … Continue reading →

Porsche 997 Turbo Customer Video Testimonial

We had recently shared this customers Porsche 997 Turbo with dyno sheet, mods, and a brief dyno run video.  Part of our ongoing marketing campaign is giving real world testimonials from customers driving their cars day to day.  We did a before and after on this car here on our Mustang AWD dyno.  The car already equipped with a Agency Power titanium exhaust and Fabspeed intake put down a respectful 460awhp.  A stock 997 Turbo makes 480 horsepower to the crank.  The Mustang Dyno sees about a 20-25% drivetrain loss.  This puts stock horsepower at 360awhp.  The flash with these mods added a nice 100HP to the customers car.   This Porsche is now a real monster!  Check out the video … Continue reading → )

Porsche 997 Turbo Dynoed, Tuned, Stamp of Approval

Having had the chance to play with the Porsche 997 Turbo platform over the years, we are quite familiar with the driveability characteristics between a stock and tuned car.  There are certain mods that do work, and some that don’t.  Each car and customer is different so we always look for ways to best assist someone in their goals.  This Porsche 997 Turbo came to us locally here with some already completed modifications. The 6 speed car had about 44000 on the clock and was in really good condition.  Other mods included upgraded IK22 spark plugs, Agency Power BRVs, Agency Power Titanium Exhaust, Fabspeed Cold Air Intake, and a mild tune.  Since the car was bought used, we did not … Continue reading →

Today, we’re talking to all the F360 owners and admirers. The F360 was Ferrari’s middle child between the F355 and F430. Being the  mid-engine, rear wheel drive, V8-powered coupe that it is, people were more familiar with this model for Ferrari because of the round breaking body styling. This was the first step for Ferrari out of the 90′s and into the new millennium. They got there by getting rid of the harsh edges, and giving it a smooth body, that exemplified futuristic flow. Along with the body lines, the F360 was the first Ferrari without the classic flip-up headlight. Ferrari took the necessary steps to upgrade the F360, now it’s time to take your F360 up a notch, with Fabspeed!

Ferrari makes Fierce Look Sexy

When daydreaming at work of what your Ferrari would look like, you’re more than likely thinking of either a sexy cherry red or a fierce gunmetal gray. This customer makes all daydreams come true. His Ferrari is the perfect combination of fierce and sexy. He has the aggresive looking outside that demands dominance and the red interior add that sexy red that all Ferrari’s need. The Ferrari F430 was designed to perform under the most intricate of situations. With the ability to put out 490 hp, they needed to adjust some of the other features to balance out the power. They made carbon-ceramic discs standard in all F430 so you have a yin and yang effect when stopping and starting. Ferrari’s inspiration when designing the F430 is to give the non-race car drivers the feel of a Formula 1 car, while sitting in world class luxury interior.

This customer drives his car with pride. He loves his Ferrari enough to do what most Ferrari experts know to be true. If you’re going to have a top of the line car, you need top of the line parts. This customer upgraded with a Fabspeed Valvtronic Exhaust tip, Fabspeed Header and Fabspeed carbon fiber intake covers. If you want to daydream more here are some of our other Ferrari F430 parts.

Porsche Cayenne Turbo 007 Getaway Machine

One of our customers wanted to make sure that is work truck was safe and secure while fitting in with todays styles.  What started out as a stock Porsche Cayenne Twin Turbo soon turned into his personal secure command center.  The first step in this build was to make sure at anytime, the Cayenne could not be caught.  Its performance was upgraded with a Softronic ECU Flash adding 50+ horsepower.  A set of Agency Power diverter valves helped keep the boost pressure constant while a pair of BMC filters delivered more air to the turbos.  Fabspeed’s exhaust system for the Turbo and secondary cat bypass pipes helped boost power as well as letting others know this truck means business.  Making sure on those getaways he did not have any problems from the LAW, a K40 RL360 radar detection system was installed.  Giving 360 degrees of radar protection while being discreet on the interior, the K40 is the ultimate.  But when your on the move, you can forget about the potential of laser detection.  K40′s laser defuser system was also installed to make this Porsche completely stealth.

With the headlights and taillights smoked and the rear emblems blacked out, it was time to get the stance done.  The white Cayenne TT went for the super tough contrast of black wheels.  Not any black wheels, these are 24 inch Asanti AF146 wheels.  The 24×10.0 wheels featured all black hardware, center caps, inner gloss black lip, and outer carbon fiber look lip.  With the gloss black face and a set of Pirelli P-Zero Nero 285/30/24 tires, this truck was official.  There is only one problem, none of the cargo is safe.  So we added a custom built Truck vault for the rear of the Cayenne.  Fire proof, bomb proof, bullet proof, nobody is getting this sensitive material.  Featuring 2 drawers and heavy duty locking mechanisms, the ultimate package was complete.  While a hot topic in our nation and Arizona having the most unrestricted gun laws, this 50 caliber shows you that this customer is not afraid to protect his machine!

The photos were taken at Studio-3D by photographer Barry Gossage here in Arizona.
