The RENNtech V3 Digital Lowering Module (DLM) is designed to work with all available Mercedes Airmatic or ABC (hydraulic) suspensions. The unit allows its user to have full control over all four corners of the vehicleâs suspension and adjust it in 1mm increments. The DLM requires no splicing or soldering to the factory wiring harness. The RENNtech harness utilizes the factory pins to allow a convenient and completely reversible installation. The unit also supports speed-dependant lowering that allows the vehicle to return to its factory ride-height at a pre-set speed. This process removes the need for the vehicle to be aligned after its been lowered. The user can maintain the factory longevity and still have the lowered look at low speeds.
All RENNtech DLMs are adjustable via USB using either Windows or Android OS. The software has three locations where the user can store pre-configured suspension setups for quick and effortless changes.
Note:Â On the SL 550 (R231) the ABC suspension system is optional equipment from the factory. The ABC suspension system is required for the digital lowering module (DLM).

The latest trend for the past 2 years has been all focused on widebody kits and fender flares. Â We dabbled in this fun with our Project Focus ST flare kit as well. Â Most likely you are tuned into the trends and have seen the Liberty Walk take over with cars like Ferrari, BMW, Lamborghini, Porsche, and even now the Maserati. Â Another Japanese company called Fairy Design, has their own take on the fender flare movement with the Mercedes CLA sedan. Â Those cars look pretty rad all hunched down with the mega flares, but what is involved in installing them.
If you want to go wide, the first thing you are going to need to do is get wider wheels and tires. Â The obvious reason you can go from a 19×8.5 to say a 19×10.5 is that they would rub like a mofo! Â So what is hidden under these flares? Â Cutting, cutting, cutting. Â Just as we did on our Project Focus ST, you have to cut the body. Â Not a lot, but enough where there is no turning back. Â When done right, these kits give an entire new look and styling to what is generally a slim lined car. We had a local customer come by to get his 2014 McLaren 12C Spyder a little dressed up with some Agency Power carbon fiber engine trim. Â The 12C Spyder hides a lot compared to the Coupe we have, but still looks amazing. Â For the Spyder, the oil filling tank cover and intake manifold cover can both be upgraded. Â They are molded from the OEM parts for a perfect fit and finish on the McLaren’s 3.8L twin turbo engine. Â Each carbon fiber piece features a 2×2 twill weave that is nearly identical to factory. Â Having put our own Project McLaren through some miles and the hot Arizona heat, these pieces hold up perfect. Suspension setup is extremely important whether you are street driving or track driving for optimal handling. Â When a vehicle is lowered, it changes the suspension geometry which requires an alignment. Â Most of the time, you can align the car back to factory specifications. Â But in some instances you want to really dial it in. Â The rear camber and toe adjustments are a key element in the way your vehicle will handle. Â Equally as important is the front of the car. Â To much negative camber could cause premature wear to the tires while to much toe could make your car feel “darty”. Â Whenever you do a full custom suspension setup and alignment, you need to take into account the type and function of coilovers, tire choice, driving conditions, and even drivers weight.
To help dial in the suspension of the Porsche 991 Carrera and 991 Turbo, Agency Power has developed these rear adjustable control arms.  For a decade, Agency Power has been doing CNC machined suspension components.  Everything from sway bar links, bushing inserts, and of course, control arms.  Having produced popular control arm kits for cars like the Porsche 996/997 Turbo, Subaru STI, Scion FRS, Ford Focus ST, the Porsche 991 arms are now available.  They feature 6061 aluminum that has been precision CNC machined at our Arizona facility.  The control arms are designed as complete OEM replacements.  Compared to stock, these control arms remove the factory rubber bushings with solid mounts to provide a more responsive feel.  The 3 piece, teflon lined rod ends thread into the billet aluminum arms to offer you further camber adjustments over stock.  Each rod end includes 2 stainless steel spacers which attach to the vehicle rear frame assembly.
The control arms have been anodized black and feature the Agency Power logo. Â These arms are sold as a pair and will fit all Porsche 991 Carrera and Turbo models from 2012 and up. Porsche 991 Control Arm Installation Photos
We pulled the rear wheels to reduce the sprung weight and make for an easier install.
Here you remove the nut and bolt from the wheel carrier.
Simple hand tools can be used or of course power tools to remove the bolt and nut.
Now when you go to remove the factory centric nut, make sure you mark where it was so you can get it as close to your stock setting as you need. Â This of course if you are getting an alignment right away.

To get better access, remove the sway bar bushing mount. Â Perfect to do a rear sway bar as well!
Now that the 2 arms are side by side, you can compare the differences. Â Set the length of the Agency Power control arm so it is equal to the stock one.
Installing them we first added the arm to the rear sub-frame section. Â Line up your markings and then get the nut and bolt torqued down.
Swing it up, then slide the bolt and nut through the arm and wheel carrier.
