RENNtech"s V3 Digital Suspension Lowering Module for Mercedes

The RENNtech V3 Digital Lowering Module (DLM) is designed to work with all available Mercedes Airmatic or ABC (hydraulic) suspensions. The unit allows its user to have full control over all four corners of the vehicle’s suspension and adjust it in 1mm increments. The DLM requires no splicing or soldering to the factory wiring harness. The RENNtech harness utilizes the factory pins to allow a convenient and completely reversible installation. The unit also supports speed-dependant lowering that allows the vehicle to return to its factory ride-height at a pre-set speed. This process removes the need for the vehicle to be aligned after its been lowered. The user can maintain the factory longevity and still have the lowered look at low speeds.

All RENNtech DLMs are adjustable via USB using either Windows or Android OS. The software has three locations where the user can store pre-configured suspension setups for quick and effortless changes.

Note: On the SL 550 (R231) the ABC suspension system is optional equipment from the factory. The ABC suspension system is required for the digital lowering module (DLM).

Fairy Design Widebody Mercedes CLA from Hong Kong

Fairy Design fowarded us these photos of this awesome widebody kit on a Mercedes CLA45.  Done by Exotics Tuning of Hong Kong, the matte red CLA looks super sweet with the 10 piece fender flare kit and lip spoilers.  This makes us REALLY happy since we are transforming our own Project CLA45 into this right now as well.  The car features a set of square 18 inch Volk Racing TE37RT wheels in black.  The ultra lightweight forged wheel is perfectly fitting for the Mercedes CLA along with the Yokohama tires.  Check out prices on the Fairy Design Mercedes CLA Kit Here.

Fairy Design and Airrex Drop this Amazing Mercedes CLA Widebody

Fairy Design of Japan has been hitting home runs with their Mercedes CLA widebody kit.  Debuted last year, the inquiries keep flowing in to change the unique EVO like Mercedes into a stanced monster.  This time Fairy Design connected with air suspension partners Airrex to really lay this Mercedes out.  The 10 piece wide body kit features front and rear fenders that does require some cutting of the body as seen here, but allows you to run 10 inch wide wheels!  This particular CLA has some amazing Work Wheels equipped in bronze.  Having our own Project CLA45, we plan on adding this kit very soon as well.  Enjoy the pics and make sure you view all the Fairy Design Products Here as well as Airrex Suspension Kits Here.

Mercedes CLA250 Tuning Box Kit Installed with HG Intake

Mercedes C63 S AMG 4.0L Gets Boosted with VR Tuned Tuning Box

The Mercedes C63 S AMG packs a punch of 503bhp with it’s 4.0L V8 twin turbocharged engine.  This is a ton of horsepower for the sedan and it can only go up!  For the Mercedes C63 S you can either do a ECU Flash or a tuning box.  The ECU Flash requires the ECU to be removed and opened which may scare some away as they just bought a $90,000 vehicle.  Even though ECU Tuning is very safe, the Tuning Box is a great option.  Its plug and play design connects to the cars boost, manifold, and camshaft sensors to give it a huge increase in torque and horsepower providing an incredible feeling.  The Tuning Box kit can be easily removed if need be for warranty purposes.  The dial on the back of the box can be set based on octane fuel ran.  We typically recommend the setting to be on 4 for 91 or 93 octane fuel.  With a gain of 90 horsepower and 120 nm of torque, you would be silly to NOT get this upgrade!  Check out the VR Tuned Mercedes C63 S Tuning Box Here.

Remus New Mercedes CLA 250 Exhaust Released

Remus has just released a new exhaust for the very popular Mercedes CLA250.  Growing popularity in the USA, this platform is huge in Asia and Europe with its A250 variant as well.  The new Remus exhaust is an excellent replacement for the factory system.  Like most turbocharged vehicles, better intake and exhaust flow along with tuning will greatly raise the performance and drivability up on these 2.0L engines.  REMUS Racing sport exhaust was engineered to fit the Mercedes Benz CLA 250, C117, 2013+.  This is a left/right racing system that can only be installed as a complete system. The system comes with four angled 76MM chrome tips.  It features a straight through midpipe and high flow axleback muffler which can only be purchased as a full system.  The exhaust will give the engine a better grunt under throttle and keep you smiling through the entire rpm range.  You can order this and all other Remus Exhaust Systems Here.

The Mercedes CLA45 already has a pretty firm ride with the factory suspension.  This is definitely different than you would expect from a Mercedes-Benz automobile.  But as a car that drives like a Mitsubishi EVO and handles like a Subaru STI, the CLA45 is a pretty fancy, fun mini sedan.  All wheel drive cars tend to have a little bit of understeer and push but Mercedes got this right and the AWD system is beautiful under launch and in turns.  Wanting to get a better stance, slightly improved ride, we went with our number one suspension company, KW Coilovers.  KW Suspensions has been used on many of our past Project Cars from the Scion FRS, Ford Focus ST, Mercedes CLS63, Porsche 997TT, Porsche 991TT, and more.  The Variant 3 coilovers provide an incredible ride with their progressive spring rate and adjustable rebound and compression.  The patented bump stop acts like a 3rd spring giving the street ride a very smooth feel absorbing all the little bumps and when pushed in the curves, out handles the best of the best.  Here are some pictures of our Mercedes CLA45 getting the KW V3 Coilovers installed.  Want a set of KW Coilovers for your car?  Shop Here.
