RENNtech"s V3 Digital Suspension Lowering Module for Mercedes

The RENNtech V3 Digital Lowering Module (DLM) is designed to work with all available Mercedes Airmatic or ABC (hydraulic) suspensions. The unit allows its user to have full control over all four corners of the vehicle’s suspension and adjust it in 1mm increments. Check out the video below to see the installation process and controls of the RENNtech V3 DLM.

The DLM requires no splicing or soldering to the factory wiring harness. The RENNtech harness utilizes the factory pins to allow a convenient and completely reversible installation. The unit also supports speed-dependant lowering that allows the vehicle to return to its factory ride-height at a pre-set speed. This process removes the need for the vehicle to be aligned after its been lowered. The user can maintain the factory longevity and still have the lowered look at low speeds.

All RENNtech DLMs are adjustable via USB using either Windows or Android OS. The software has three locations where the user can store pre-configured suspension setups for quick and effortless changes.

Note: On the SL 550 (R231) the ABC suspension system is optional equipment from the factory. The ABC suspension system is required for the digital lowering module (DLM).

RENNtech VAG V3.5 DLM Module Specifications:

  • Current Consumption: 30mA (60mA while plugged in to PC/Tablet)

  • Adjustment increments: 1mm

  • Maximum Lowering: Limited only by vehicle

  • Adjustment Methods: PC or Android (Tablet)

  • Size: 53mm x 73mm x 24mm

  • Weight: 1.2oz

AEM Announces Release of Expanded Line of X-Series Digital Gauges

AEM’s performance electronics are engineered to outperform the competition. This company designs, manufactures and assembles engine management systems, wideband air/fuel systems, data loggers, water/methanol injection systems, performance gauges, boost controllers, ignition and fuel delivery components and adjustable cam gears. AEM recently released an expanded lineup of their X-Series Digital Gauges that are smarter, sexier and slimmer, and feature a host of refinements.

AEM, X-Series digital gauges, temperature, pressure, LED display, engine management

AEM’s new X-Series Digital Gauges combine incredible looks, increased readability and a multitude of new, easy-to-use features! The X-Series Digital Display Gauges are available for Boost, EGT, Fuel/Oil Pressure, Oil/Water/Trans Temperature and Volts. These new gauges complement the X-Series Digital Wideband AFR gauge, which was released in the winter, and is the fastest responding wideband in independent testing.

Visual improvements include a bright three- or four-digit LED display that is 87% larger than AEM’s original digital gauges. It also provides a much better readability. A sweeping green LED “needle” lines the edge of the gauge face for quick reference. A 33% overall increase in the gauge face display makes it easier to see displayed values at just a glance. X-Series Gauges come with a black bezel and faceplate. Optional silver bezel/white faceplate accessory kits are available for each gauge and sold separately.

Despite the larger display, X-Series Gauges are contained in a standard 2-1/16th-inch (52mm) diameter housing for mounting in a standard gauge pod. Thanks to an advanced single board design, X-Series Gauges have an incredibly slim overall depth of under 0.825”, with a cup depth of only 0.200.” This shallow cup depth allows X-Series Digital Gauges to be mounted practically anywhere.

X-Series Digital Gauges include new technological features that make them easier to use. Two buttons on the faceplate deliver programmability for peak/recall, standard or metric display, and user-selectable min/max threshold warnings. The faceplates are reversible for standard or metric. The gauges are AEMnet CAN-bus enabled, so they can be daisy chained together for use with the Infinity ECU, Series 2 EMS, AQ-1 Data Logger, or 3rd party EMS or logger that accepts AEMnet. 0-5V analog outputs are also included for inputting into data loggers and engine management systems.

Coming in Summer 2016!

AEM will be expanding its X-Series line with an AEMnet X-Series Digital Gauge that reads and displays engine and vehicle parameters transmitted through the AEMnet CAN Bus stream, an OBDII X-Series Digital Gauge that reads and displays OBDII parameters and clears diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), and a GPS-based X-Series Speedometer in summer 2016. Detailed information on these gauges will be available soon.

X-Series Digital Display Gauge Features:

  • 2-1/16th (52mm) gauge diameter for easy mounting in gauge pods

  • Slim 0.825” overall gauge depth and 0.200” cup depth – mount them virtually anywhere!

  • Programmable standard or metric readout with reversible faceplates

  • Center LED is 87% larger than original AEM gauges

  • 24 green outer LEDs for quick reference to engine parameter

  • Peak/Recall via gauge face buttons

  • User selectable min/max threshold warnings (excl. Volts)

  • Optional silver bezel with white faceplate(s) accessory kits available (sold separately)

  • AEMnet CANbus-enabled for transmitting data to EMS or Data Logger

  • 0-5v analog outputs for transmitting data to EMS or Data Logger

  • Auto dimming sensor delivers ideal display brightness

  • Positive locking connectors provide secure connection
