Akrapovic Exhaust Systems for the Chevrolet Corvette C6 and C7

The Akrapovic company was founded in Slovenia a quarter century ago by former motorcycle racer Igor Akrapovic. Currently in stock are the Akrapovic exhaust systems for the Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06/ZR1 and C7 Stingray/Z06 models.

Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06/ZR1

The stainless-steel slip-on line systems for the Chevrolet C6 replace the stock exhaust from the center link pipes, back. The weight difference between the Akrapovic slip-on mufflers and the stock system is approximately 9lbs. Akrapovic’s slip-on line systems increase the power and torque of the Corvette V8 engine, while improving throttle response, all achieved without removing the catalytic converters. Finally, the most dramatic improvement is in the sound: the slip-on line exhaust gives the C6 a much deeper and throatier growl. The Akrapovic Sound Kit is also available as an option; it allows for full control of the dual-mode valves. Be sure to complete the look with a set of exquisite 115mm or larger 125mm tailpipes in either titanium or carbon fiber.

Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray/Z06

The Akrapovic evolution line system for the Chevrolet Corvette C7 takes exhaust tuning to the next level. Featuring mufflers and link-pipes made from high-grade titanium to dramatically reduce the overall weight, the system provides more power, lowers back pressure and increases torque. With four valves, the first pair operates in four-cylinder mode and the second set comes into action following the driver’s specifications. With an electronic device developed by Akrapovic engineers for the five standard GM modes—Weather, Eco, Tour, Sport and Track, the system is perfectly matched to operate with the car’s drive mode selector. This produces an even greater range of options for the driver to fully experience the amazing sound of the car.

The evolution line system, with a new X-pipe, provides even greater performance compared to the slip-on line system and adds a pure race-note soundtrack for this stunning engine with the enhanced sound characteristics of the V8 configuration without any drone – just pure enjoyment! Four large-diameter carbon fiber tail pipes with titanium inners complete the appearance of the evolution line perfectly, making it stand out as something special.

2016 Shark Grey Corvette C7 Z06 on MRR FS01 Wheels

The all-new MRR FS01 wheel is the first flow forged wheel series in their lineup. The FS01 is ultra-lightweight and comes in four standard sizes: 18-inch, 19-inch, 20-inch and 21-inch. Standard finishes include gloss black, gunmetal, matte black and liquid silver. Others colors are available at an additional cost.
