3 Mods Every Tuner Needs

The 370Z can look drastically different with even the slightest effort. No only does it stand out more than it’s predecessor, it doesn’t take much to make it stand out on the road. Our veteran sales guru Sean got his 370Z and started modding it immediately. I think we were putting a new exhaust on the day it came off the lot.

The three modifications did immediately when he got his car are the three mods we would suggest for any car coming off the lot; suspension, wheels and exhaust. The suspension will separate your car with stock vehicles. Not only will it handle better in tight situations but rockin’ a wheel gap isn’t an option with a car like the 370Z. Once the H&R sport springs were on adding wheels was a no brainer, but the decision of which wheels to go with is where it gets tricky.

Sean reached out to Wed wheels to see what new wheels they would be releasing. Because Sean is not only a car enthusiast but a sneaker head, having anything but the latest kicks is not an option. He needed that new-new and Wed Wheels was able to come through with their newly released SA-15R’s. The finish and fitment look rad with the sleek silver color of the car. The wheels define the sexy lines of the 370, like a high-heel accentuates a girls legs.

The other modification that makes a world of difference for any car but especially the 370Z, is the exhaust. You may have remembered us releasing this Agency Power Titanium Tip Exhaust at the end of last year and we still stand by our word. This may be the best sounding 370Z exhaust on the market. In true Vivid Racing fashion, once we got the exhaust on (before the wheels or suspension) we had to take it through a “Vivid Style” test run.

When it’s all said and done, Sean couldn’t be more pleased with his modifications. Although it wasn’t a gnarly build, his ride definately stands out in the crowd. New Video of Agency Power GT-R Exhaust being Unleashed

The GT-R is the dream car for any tuner. Not only is it a descendant of the infamous Skyline R34, but the amount of raw potential this thing rolls off the lot with is uncanny. Although the GT-R comes stocked with a decent exhaust, we took the opportunity to really open it up and get some huge air flow. With all that air flow, comes a bigger, badder sound that most customer’s aren’t ready for. Before this next great invention, we would constantly be talking to customer’s who said they were ready for bigger sound, but once you gave them that, it was too loud.

This exhaust is equipped with one of the greatest inventions to hit the aftermarket in years. The electronic controlled valve system allows you to have a schizophrenic car. You can be, as they say, a lady in the streets and a freak in the sheets and by the sheets we mean the open road. When you open these up it unleashes Godzilla to full extent.

Agency Power Releases 2 New Viper SRT Exhausts (Sound Clips)

When we teamed up with Agency Power to make a new exhaust for our Viper SRT Project Car, we knew we wanted to reduce the weight and refine the sound. Agency Power did all that and more. We wanted to give people who wanted to track their Viper, a gnarly sounding exhaust that reduced the overall weight. Agency Power was able to drop the weight by 20lbs and this catless monster sounds terrifying.

For all the daily drivers that wanted to get people’s attention, but not make ears bleed. Agency Power made a sexy, fully titanium, only 30 pounds, exhaust. This thing cuts the weight of the stock exhaust in half and refines the growl of the stock exhaust into a defined snarl. There’s no mistaking when this thing starts up, or passes you on the road.

Although this color didn’t work out for our Red Ford Focus ST, but this color is fierce and we are pumped someone’s rockin’ it. Even better than the sexy candy teal wheels, is a woman who can mod a car. This she-tuner has a stellar FRS, with a mod list to be envied. She is our sales guy Arsha’s (arsha@vividracing.com, ext. 225), FRS customer. She’s been modding her car for a while and all the hard work is finally paying off.  Since her build has been done, she’s been featured by Avant Garde, Extreme Dimension and APR. Bucky Lasek Redecorates Mor"s Parking Lot - Video

We’ve worked with some rad people in the past like Dave Mirra, Coco Zurita, Cole Seely and last but not least Bucky Lasek. All these guys are busy running the world of extreme sports, so when we get an update from them, we’re pretty pumped. Especially when their correspondence is in the form of a sweet drift video where he’s wasting tires in the middle of a parking lot.

If you’ve been living under a rock, Bucky Lasek is a skateboarding legend who also dabbles in rally car driving and extreme car builds. We’ve helped him with a couple of his past builds like his Subaru WRX STI rally car build. He sent us pictures of him installing the Agency Power Lightweight Crank Pulley. Along with the pulley he added a Agency Power Quad Tip Exhaust, and KW Coilovers. As you can see in the video, he’s still pushing the limits of his STI.

Toyo Tires Debuts Focus ST Project Build at SEMA

The things that intrigued us about the Ford Focus ST when deciding on our next project car were; the turbo charge platform, sexy upgraded interior, and the eco-boost feature it offers. After the success with tuner cars like the FR-S and BR-Z, Ford wanted to follow suite with their own version of a tuner-type, tear down, track car. You see platforms like the FR-S, BR-Z and Focus ST and can’t help but think of all the aesthetic and performance possibilities there are.
