"Le Yeti" Spotted in Canada with New ESM Wheels

When we built our Focus ST project car we got on the forums to get ideas and see what other people we doing to their ST. It was there we found this customer who’s motto is, “Just put rims on it and slam it!” We couldn’t agree more. When it was time for him to put his motto where his mouth was he chose a ST to put wheels on and slam.

He calls his ST “Le Yeti” because it dwells in the mountains of Canada and has the all-white look you would find on a majestic Yeti! He’s still in the beginning stages of his build, so he just got the essentials out of the way to start. As with most our project cars, wheels and suspension are the first mods we do.

He’s fitted with H&R Coilovers to ensure his Yeti’s slammed. Then he threw some ESM-004 wheels that he got from our guy Jacky (jacky@vividracing.com). These powder coated 18×9 5×108 +40mm look just aggressive, but still function well in the mountains and on rough terrain. To ensure he has good control, he upgraded his brake pads to keep up with his advanced setup. He’s runnin’ the hawk ceramic pads which will keep his Focus more responsive for longer, no matter where he’s driving.

2014 RS7 Balls Out with HRE"s

Although we try out new wheel brands on some of our project cars, we always know that HRE offers a top of the line product. This is our sales guy dado’s (dado@vividracing.com ext. 236) customer. When he bought his 2014 Audi RS7, one of the first upgrades he got was some new jewels for the thrown. These P101 with brushed clear lips and a satin charcoal face are the perfect match for this classy white boat.

We love wheels more than the average tuner. We always end up getting multiple sets for our projects cars because, we like to party, and you can never really have enough wheels. So, when our friends over at MHT sent us their customer’s custom painted 2014 Mercedes Benz SL550 v8 Bi-Turbo with custom Niche Essen wheels, we couldn’t help but share these drool worthy pictures. Not only is the SL550 the future in luxury convertibles but the performance this thing puts out, is uncanny. But with every new, insane car, comes the person who wants something better, something….Custom!

This customer up’d his game with a custom matte paint. He then made sure the the color and finish of his Essen wheels would compliment the custom color. The detail in the Essen wheels is something that the pictures don’t do justice. We had a set in the shop the other day, and the machined pattern in the wheel, makes these wheels the perfect finishing touch to this silver assassin. To make sure the wheels looked as good as possible, he upgraded his suspension with some H&R springs and wrapped those custom wheels with Continental Tires 245/35/20 – 285/30/20.

GT-R Producing 800 Wheel Horsepower

When our customer sent us these pictures of their GT-R, the apple red of the GT-R was appealing but that’s not what really caught our attention. It was the mod list filled with brands we know are offer the ultimate performance parts, that really made our jaw drop. The first name we saw was Wald. Wald International is know for taking the lines of a car and enhancing them with bold, aggressive carbon pieces. Case in point, the gnarly strakes on this wald diffuser. It makes it belligerent, but not so, that it destroys the desirable look of the GT-R.

APR is the next product we noticed. APR is known for their aero parts, but most of all, their wings. They provide a futuristic look, while still giving you some of the best aerodynamic advantages in the industry. He chose the APR Performance Adjustable GTC-500 Wing. When it comes to racing, every second counts. By reducing lift and increasing downforce, you can gain extra traction during high speed cornering. The other product he got to compliment his wing when it comes to cornering. The Eibach Pro-Kit is the perfect answer for most frequently-driven street cars. Eibach’s legendary springs dramatically improve both the GT-R’s performance and appearance, by making the car lower there for handling better.

The last two are two companies that we have worked with a lot in the past. Mercedes C63 Black Series with Vossen Cinematic Swag

This week Vossen released their latest stroke of cinematic genius with the use of the gorgeous Mercedes C63 AMG Black. The video is for the latest release of their Precision Series that was launched back in July. The Precision series features wheels for higher end performance vehicles. The wheels are inspired by Formula 1, and can withstand the pressure of high performance, while still exemplifying cutting edge design. The Precision series is also part of their Track Package that includes a carbon fiber rear wing.

In order for all this visual adrenaline to come together, they had to block off Miami’s Brickwell Avenue Bridge, so this limited edition animal could roam freely. If you’re interested in getting a piece of this magic, you better hurry, there are only 800 units worldwide!

Limited Edition Mag Blue TE37SL"s on a Sexy Black RX8

With the RX8 being discontinued after the 2011 model year, this soon to be classic decided to go out with a bang! The RX8 is one of the sexiest models Mazda came out with. Similar to the FRS and BRZ models, the frame is a canvas for aftermarket enthusiasts. These cars are meant for aftermarket upgrades.  This customer knew the best and easiest ways to have his car make a statement, was with a new set of wheels. However, he didn’t know the exact look that he wanted. He ended up getting a hold of our sales person Ahmed (ahmed@vividracing.com ext. 231) who was able to get him setup with the most aggressive look on the road. They ended up deciding on a set of Mag Blue TE37SL’s. The Mag Blue is the fierce subtle touch he was looking for to turn his RX8 into a show stopper. Here’s what he had to say about the customer service and guidance he received.
