McLaren 675 LT Spider is a Jaw Dropper

I am not one to “review” cars as this blog is all about performance parts.  However the new McLaren 675 LT Spider is definitely one to share!  The Vivid Racing Project McLaren is a MP4-12C later renamed the 12C.  If you don’t know your McLaren lineage, then you have the 650S, and now the 675.  The same 3.8L twin turbo engine with a hell of a lot more power and aerodynamics.  The LT stands for Long Tail derived from the wild 1997 F1 GT “Longtail”.  In fact, the 675LT is just 1.5 inches longer than the 650S.

Lighter, faster, meaner – it is the most focused, fastest and exhilarating open top McLaren ever built. Featuring all of the enhancements of the sensational 675LT Coupe launched earlier this year, the Spider heightens the senses thanks to the retractable folding hardtop exposing you to the open elements in a car designed to outperform. Limited in numbers yet boundless when it comes to exhilaration, the 675LT Spider delivers 675PS and 700nm of torque in a package 100kg lighter than the 650S Spider on which it is based. Every component that can be optimised is optimised. If weight can be saved, it has been saved. Downforce has been increased by 40%. This means 0-200kph (124mph) in an astonishing 8.1 seconds and a sense of feel and connectivity that can only come from minimal mass and a chassis designed for the ultimate in feedback.

One of the best to review cars is Chris Harris and you got to watch this menacing driving!
