It was another amazing weekend out at the Omega Motorsports half mile race in Gila Bend, Arizona.  The previous day was filled with rain and thunderstorms but come Saturday morning, the airport strip was ready for competition.  A little windy and cold, the crowd was a great turn out of both sponsors like Vivid Racing and big horsepower cars.  Vivid Racing came out with our usual tent and Agency Power bus to shack up and show off.  At the last event in October, it was a bit warmer out and not as many people, so we were pumped for the extra attention.  The only changes to our Project McLaren 12C was a new set of wheels and we ran 100 octane race gas instead of 91 octane with octane booster.  As you might have read from our past event coverage here and seen our videos, we started out in 3rd gear which really bogged us down.  From a competitors tip, we started out in 2nd gear this go around and then let the sophisticated McLaren computers do the rest.  We went from a 155mph back in October to running a 167.19mph.  As we thought, its all in the starts!  Read more about our McLaren 12C Project Here.
