There is a constant battle in the aftermarket industry about where things are made, and if they are made with integrity or just replica’s of other products. Out Perform on the Track with Better Grip

The ability for your clutch to engage on the track is crucial to good track times and overall performance. Our sales guy Sean (sean@vividracing.com ext. 226) sold a Clutch Masters FX350 Stage 3.5 Spring Clutch High Rev Pressure Plate to on of his Porsche customers, who needed a reliable and responsive clutch for his track car. When a clutch is engaged engine power is no longer being transferred to the wheels. This allows a new gear to be selected before power is transferred again. This happens in racing situations far more than it does with typical driving. So if you spend any time on the track, and upgraded clutch is essential to the longevity and performance of your vehicle. Here’s what he had to say about the performance of the clutch.

“I finally got 500 miles on the car. It was a little tough for a dedicated track car. I drove it back and forth to work. I like the clutch it takes a little practice to engage. I just did a track day at Infeneon Raceway, it was killer, no slippage at all.”

The Next-Level Racing Seat - Blue Carbon Backed Status Racing Seat

If you’re looking to take your interior to the next level, a set of Status Racing Seats will get you there. Yesterday Status Racing released their latest color carbon backed racing seats. You can now get your Status Icon seat with Blue color carbon! Along with the other options of standard carbon fiber, honeycomb carbon and Red carbon, you can basically customize your seat to fit any car or style.

If you saw the Red carbon when it got released the initial pictures of the backing looking bright and vibrant, when they later released pictures the color without the light, had an almost burgundy look to it. The color of the seat reacts to the light on it. The blue carbon seats are similar. You will see in the pictures below that the initial look at the backing in the sun look like a stellar blue color. Then you see them fully manufactured, and the blue looks like a navy blue. Either way, these things look mean! For the first set of blue carbon backed seats they went with the black ultra suede, blue diamond stitching and finished it off, with a filled-in blue Status logo. Check out the pictures below. Saabaru with Rare Status Racing Seats

This has been a big year for Status Racing. Since the new year they have discontinued the carbon kevlar seats to make room for the new honeycomb, red and blue colored carbon seats. Status hasn’t released any other details, but we are fairly certain they won’t stop with those three. The other big announcement from Status was the FIA approval of their Status Ring GT-X seat. As they put it, now “medium-husky” weekend racers can race in style and be FIA approved.

Like most, when we’re bored we waste time on Instagram looking at the latest from vendors, fans and enthusiasts. Last night we came across this Saabaru 9-2X with a rare set of our carbon kevlar Status Seats. As you might have guessed the Saabaru is a badge engineered version of the second generation Subaru Impreza. 2005 and 2006 were the only two years it was retailed here in the states. With that this sleek brainchild has been outfitted for shows from head to toe, and the interior is no exception.
