Made in the USA

It is rare in our industry that products are made in the USA. There is a constant battle in the aftermarket industry about where things are made, and if they are made with integrity or just replica’s of other products. One product we are proud to say is 100% made in the USA are the Status Racing Seats we carry. We bought Status two years ago because of all the possibilities there were with these seats to grow. Here are some facts that you might not know about status.

People often look at the price tag and think that it’s too much for a seat. To that we say, “You get what you pay for.” We stand by the integrity of Status Racing Seats and what the brand represents. Status Racing seats can be expressions of character, or sturdy enough to hold you, while you’re sideways at top speeds. If you’re looking for a quality, FIA Approved racing seat… Look no further.

If you follow Status at all, you know that they have added some new product this year such as

and there is more to come in 2014!

So if you’re looking to upgrade your interior, change up your weekend racer, or want a seat that can withstand gnarly situations, we urge you to look into Status Racing. To check out more about Status you can find them on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. If you own, or have owned a Status Seat, we want to hear from you. Comment in the section below, or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram and tell us what you like or didn’t like about your Status Seats?

Kick your weekend off with these drool worthy photos.

Out Perform on the Track with Better Grip

The ability for your clutch to engage on the track is crucial to good track times and overall performance. Our sales guy Sean (sean@vividracing.com ext. 226) sold a Clutch Masters FX350 Stage 3.5 Spring Clutch High Rev Pressure Plate to on of his Porsche customers, who needed a reliable and responsive clutch for his track car. When a clutch is engaged engine power is no longer being transferred to the wheels. This allows a new gear to be selected before power is transferred again. This happens in racing situations far more than it does with typical driving. So if you spend any time on the track, and upgraded clutch is essential to the longevity and performance of your vehicle. Here’s what he had to say about the performance of the clutch.

I finally got 500 miles on the car. It was a little tough for a dedicated track car. I drove it back and forth to work. I like the clutch it takes a little practice to engage. I just did a track day at Infeneon Raceway, it was killer, no slippage at all.”

If you do ANY track time, even if you’re just starting, a clutch is an integral part of what your car needs perform at high levels. Shop Clutch Masters clutches HERE. Shop all clutches HERE. If you’re a serious weekend racer, check out our FIA approved Status Racing seats. We have two sizes of seats that are FIA approved, as well as FIA approved Harnesses. Stay Comfortable at 200mph

This customer is more than just a car enthusiast. When he purchased his FR-S he had big plans for this project car. After a lot of time and collaboration, he’s made his race car dreams come true. He wanted us to help him outfit the interior of his ride. So we helped him pick out and purchase a set of Sparco Pro 2000 Competition Racing Seats, the Sparco Universal Seat Slider and Sparco side mounts. The seats were installed on planted base, seat brackets. What’s a racing seat with out a racing harness? He chose the Sparco Tuner 4 pt harness and a Agency Power Harness Bar. To top of his interior he chose a MoMo Steering Wheel and a NRG Steering Quick Release Kit.

His Sparco’s setup is FIA approved and will give him the confidence and comfort he needs at 200 mph and 120 degrees. Sparco seats were designed for race car drivers, by race car drivers. They take the necessary steps to not only get their seats FIA approved but also offer protection and comfort for the driver. Check out the Agency Power blog for instructions and pictures of how to install their harness bar in 15 minutes or less.

Check out this  collaboration master piece. What brand of racing seats would you want in your car? Let us know in the comments, on Facebook, Twitter @vividracingcom, or Instagram @vividracing.
