Dinan’s free flow exhaust for the 340i and xDrive sedan improves exhaust flow by reducing back pressure. It also accentuates an exhaust note with a more purposeful tone complete with intoxicating burbles. The exhaust system is available with either polished tips or black tips, depending on your preference.

Dinan engineers designed the F30 BMW 340i exhaust to reduce back pressure, resulting in increased power output and a great sporty sound. The sound emitted can be civilized when you want it to be, and pleasantly aggressive under harder acceleration. Not only is the tone improved, but the additional pops and burbles that come with it are quite thrilling. Dinan also incorporates a Helmholtz chamber design that reduces resonance or “drone” at low RPMs.

The system is built to exacting specifications to ensure a perfect fit using the factory hangers. It is made from 100% 16 gauge 304 stainless steel and will resist corrosion for years to come. The design features twin 89mm (3.5″) polished or ceramic black exhaust tips for a tasteful, high-performance look.

Dinan Performance Spring set for BMW F30 340i (RWD)

Dinan’s Performance Spring set for the F30 340i (non xDrive) provides greater control over body roll by virtue of carefully calibrated spring rates. Additionally, Dinan lowers the 340i by a full 1″ in front and 1″ in the rear for improved suspension geometry and an even more aggressive stance. The Dinan springs are CNC wound with high tensile chrome silicon wire and shot peened for stress relief to last the life of the car. The 25% increase in stiffness in front and 34% increase in the rear will reduce the rear suspension compression under acceleration and front suspension compression (or dive) under braking, giving your car a more controlled feel. The Dinan performance springs will also provide a noticeable improvement in grip, for high speed driving situations that will inspire confidence in your car’s capabilities. The reduced body roll makes the steering more responsive to driver input and will be noticed at speeds as low as 20 mph, up to the top speed of the vehicle.

This additional kit includes tuned, progressive rate bump stops that maximize suspension travel on the lowered car for improved handling capabilities and ride quality when compared to just a spring set. By allowing for full compression travel within the spring the possibility of a sudden “bottoming out” is negated, a common unwanted side effect when lowering a vehicle.  Bump stops also have the added benefit of optimizing the spring rate rewarding those that use them with added mechanical grip and cornering power. When you think of BMW, Dinan surely comes to mind with it. For the enthusiast that desires a range of camber adjustment, there are Dinan’s F2x/F3x camber plates. These plates allow an impressive 43mm of total camber adjustment (30 negative, 13 positive), providing for a more aggressive negative camber setting. The negative camber will dramatically improve grip in the vehicle’s turns for reduced understeer and razor sharp turn-in. The positive adjustment range on the camber plates is unique to Dinan and allows the end user to retain OEM camber settings on a lowered car. It also allows the driver to combat excessive negative camber brought upon by springs that aggressively lower the car.

Not only do Dinan camber plates provide a wide range of adjustment, but were made with ride quality in mind. The plates were manufactured to retain the bumpstop so that it compresses as originally designed from the factory. There is absolute no reason for camber plates to hinder ride quality if engineered the correct way. Dinan camber plates are also built to “take a beating” and are the only plates that utilize a steel alloy mount plate that will resist deforming from curbs or pot holes. The more aggressive drivers will benefit from reduced edge tire wear as well.

Dual Core Intercooler Bumper Fitment Update

Putting in more development time has allowed Dinan to further test a few bumper variants with additional versions being worked on in the coming weeks. The main variant that needed to be completed was the BMW 3-Series M-Tech bumper, which has now officially been confirmed for fitment. Please note, however, that this bumper sports a unique grille shape and size that differs from the rest of its counterparts. The shorter grille width exposes the outer fins and tanks of the Dinan dual core intercooler, resulting in a less than desirable appearance when viewed from the front.

Although a cosmetic kit, the Dinan intercooler fascia hardware kit (D333-0025) eliminates this visual flaw and transforms the intercooler installation on the affected models into purposeful and well-balanced sight that exudes quality and performance. This particular fascia kit costs $30 and is now available for purchase.

Stage 3 DinanTronics Performance Tuner Update

In addition to the fitments of the intercooler, Dinan was able to finalize the Stage 3 tune for the BMW F30 335i’s with mechanical wastegates, both with and without MPPK. A range of power figures for each of the configurations can be found in the charts below. These additional stages are already available to download from the servers.
