Ferrari 488 GTB Shoots Fire with Capristo

Capristo has equipped this EDO Competition Ferrari 488 GTB with their new exhaust and test pipes making it a fire shooting machine.  The successor to the Ferrari 458, the 488 GTB features a twin turbocharged V8 engine that puts out 661 horsepower at 8000 rpm.  Like most turbo vehicles, even this Ferrari can make crazy horsepower with the addition of some mods and tuning.  Unlike previous Ferrari’s such as the 458 and 430, ECU Tuning would maybe gain you around 20-30 horsepower where this new twin turbo platform can gain almost 100 horsepower as seen on our Tuning Box Kit.  The Capristo exhaust is a perfect match for the 488 GTB.  With a long history in Ferrari exhaust systems, Capristo develops each system in Italy with direct access to the car.  Each exhaust system features high performance exhaust mufflers and optional test pipes with cat or catless.

Our customer’s Audi R8 V10 Spider got an entire new sound track and some extra horses thanks to the beautifully crafted Capristo Exhaust System. The system features active exhaust valves which can be controlled using the programmable wireless key fobs. This gives you control over how loud and aggressive the exhaust is depending on your mood or the situation.

Product Info

The Capristo exhaust system is a back pressure monitored exhaust system with two exhaust valves for the Audi R8 V8 and R8 V10. This system is made of 1.4828 (T309) stainless steel, and will provide an increase of + 18hp (noted on dyno).

The exhaust valves are back pressure-controlled and user programmable. A built in limit prevents reaching dangerous pressure levels. There is a control unit for monitoring the back pressure. This control unit provides the ability to individually program the back pressure one would like to have the valves open or close. The portion of back pressure resulting in a loss of performance is filtered out. This way, one can reach the maximum performance. Therefore, this sports exhaust combines all advantages in both the lower and higher range of revolutions (rpm), since the back pressure can be exactly controlled to enable the engine to gain the maximum performance. The programmable control unit features an illuminated display showing all functions in plain text in 3 different languages (German, English and Italian) and provides 3 basic modes to be operated via a remote control, namely:

Cruise mode – the exhaust gas valves open later

Sports mode – the exhaust gas valves open earlier

Open mode – the exhaust gas valves remain open

Let the Day Dreaming Begin - Lamborghini Aventador LP700

This is one of our customer’s in India. Racetech is a combination of people with experience in the high end performance world. With that, it’s not surprising that they bring us this stunning Lamborghini Aventador. We’ve been fortunate enough to work on one of these beasts ourselves. There are few things in life that are as awesome as upgrading a car like this. To take something that’s already so impressive and giving it that extra edge, that’s why we do, what we do. It’s like giving Kate Upton Beyonce’s voice and Venus William’s athleticism, it’s just not fair to the rest of us.

So what do you give the car that has everything? You give it an exhaust that doesn’t compromise the sound. You give it the lunges it was meant to have. That’s exactly what  Racetech did, they add a Capristo exhaust to this already flawless being and voila, it’s even more mind blowing. Lamborghini Aventador Exotic Sounds and Stance with Video

The Lamborghini Aventador is a very impressive machine.  Who would have thought that the Murcielago could be out done.  But they did.  Equipped with a 6.5L V12 engine and a 7speed dual clutch transmission, the new stylings of the Aventador are amazing.  Though we have had the privelage in the past of working on several other supercars such as the Lamborghini LP640, Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster, Bugatti Veyron, and a heap of other Ferrari and Porsche cars, its not everyday that something the cost of a house you get to play with.  As an established customer having just modified his Ferrari 458 with a set of HRE Wheels, he was ready to make this Aventador simply stunning.

The first modifications we did was the Niche 1 piece forged wheels in 20×9 and 21×13 with Pirelli tires.  The cost of the tires fitted alone could have equipped several tuner cars needs!  The Pirelli were a 255/30/20 up front and a 355/25/21 in the rear.  With the dark tinted and brushed finished, the wheels matched with matte black finish very well while showing off the large yellow carbon ceramic brakes.

Because the Aventador already has some extreme styling, we wanted to give the rear end a stronger more aggressive look to follow the rake of the car.  We mounted a Mansory matte carbon wing to get this done.  The base of the wing replaces the factory part and then features 2 uprights with the top level wing blade.  This still functions with the hydraulic system that raises at a certain speed.  The precision and quality of the Mansory is amazing down to the engraved carbon fiber logo from Mansory.  Having done a previous Range Rover with a full Mansory kit, we expected nothing less.

The final piece to this upgrade kit was the Capristo Racing Exhaust for the Lamborghini.  Capristo has always focused on highly engineered and tested exhaust system for top level sports cars.  Their portfolio of exhausts fit everything from Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes, Bentley, and of course, Lamborghini.  The Capristo system for the Aventador is no different.  The factory exhaust is extremely heavy and definitely restricts the sound of the V12 engine.  Not only saving weight off the rear end, the exhaust system enables you to exceed the factory 700HP Lamborghini has given it.  Like every other Lamborghini I have personally heard revving up, its make any one in audible range stop what their doing to go see what this F1 race car like sound is!  Check out the photos and the 2 videos we put together on this completed project.
