McLaren 12C Warehouse Photoshoot with NEW Niche Wheels

The McLaren 12C is one of the most amazing cars we have owned in our Project Car series, since starting with our Subaru WRX in 2001.  Having taken ownership of this 2012 12C Coupe in May 2015, we have had a chance to really “drive” this vehicle.  Picking it up with 9700 miles, the car now proudly has 12,700 on the clock.  From its stock status on a drive from San Francisco to Phoenix (read here), to our fun run of 500 miles on the old Rte 666 (US HWY 191), to ripping it down the 1/2 mile runaway with Omega Motorsports, we have seat time.  What I can tell you is that this first generation supercar from McLaren since the ultra rare McLaren F1 is truly made for the driver to be one with the car.  As McLaren evolves into a production house of new vehicles including the 650S, 675LT, and the well received 911 fighter, the 570S, McLaren will be a car that is not just your wallpaper on your computer, but one you will want to strive and work hard to own.

So whats up with the photoshoot?  Well if you follow our Project McLaren 12C Gallery, you will notice we got some new shoes.  Wheels that are more fitting for the car have been installed.  The Niche Agile wheels are a 3 piece wheel in the stock sizes of 19 inch front and 20 inch rear.  The offsets are more aggressive to sit flush with the fenders.  The matte black centers and gloss black lips is a very timeless look and almost P1’ish.  They feature a standard reverse lip with the center forgings being extended to the outer lip to give the maximum concave look.  Complimenting the full Vorsteiner Aero Kit, the car is still equipped with a turboback, valvetronic ArmyTrix titanium exhaust that makes the most incredible sound under throttle.  The car goes from 616hp to 700hp with our VR Tuned ECU Flash.

We were lucky to be able to access this huge warehouse spot at AvAir where are former Project 991 Turbo resides (sans red wheels for a track day).  The photos definitely pop on the fresh concrete floors and don’t look have bad with those 747 turbine engines in the back.  We hope you enjoy our articles, photos, and of course videos.  You can see all these McLaren Products Here.
