The S2000 You don"t Want to Run into!!!

No matter how you feel about imports or “Ricer’s,” this is a car that any car enthusiast can appreciate. This S2000 owner has done a great job outfitting his Honda to be a modded out piece of machinery. A little more to this story is, this car is apparently best friends with the wicked EVO we introduced you to a while back. If you missed that EVO here’s the write up. Either way, you don’t want to miss these pictures and mod list, it’s one to envy. Our sales guy’s Arsha’s (arsha@vividracing.com ext.  225) helped this guy with his build and in return, he not only sent us pictures of his bad ass S2000, but he sent us a write up as well.  Here’s his write up and pictorial on this not so typical S2000. “Remember a few weeks back we did the write up about the Evo X that Arsha has been helping with parts.. Well this is his best friend.

When looking at this car your first thought is Ricer, or stupid Honda owner. But this Guy is far from it. Every part has a purpose and nothing has been overlooked or skimped on. From the full motor build to the APR wing and Wasp Composite race splitter that may look ridiculous to most, but when you take into consideration that he tracks this Daily Driven 651 WHP monster you understand the purpose. Even though it looks mostly stock on the outer shell there is nothing stock about under the hood or suspension.

Now you don’t build a track car like this without knowing a thing or two. After seeing the racing resume, which includes a national road racing championship in shifter karts, that he has been around the block once or twice on the track. There is still much more to come for this viscous monster and we can’t wait to see the finished product.

Must give a huge shout out to Wasp Composite for all there help with this aero package. Some of the best guys out and make an awesome splitter. Keep a look out for there FRS/BRZ splitter coming soon. C6 Corvette - The Epitome of American Muscle

Being in the spirit of American Muscle with our new Dodge Viper Project car, we thought we would show off some more domestic strength. This is our sales guy Arsha’s (arsha@vividracing.com ext. 225) Corvette customer. There aren’t too many things that say “America” like a Corvette and this modded C6 is no exception.  Rolling around on custom 19″ 1ONe 5IVE DUB’s, this thing is the epitome of the American Dream. He has them setup at:

It has a stock front fender and upgraded the back to a Grand Sport Rear Fender. What’s a nice set of wheels without suspension and brakes? He upgraded with the Z51 suspension and brake package.

Customer"s Lamborghini Aventador and Ferrari FF

Whatever this guy does, I want to do too. This is our sales guy Greg’s (greg@vividracing.com) customer. Greg helped this, modern day Bruce Wayne, get the perfect exhaust for his Lamborghini Aventador. He ended up going with the LBN Exhaust system. After he got that toy all squared away, he was ready to move on to the next million dollar project. He was between buying a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera LP570 or the Ferrari FF. He ended up going with the Ferrari FF and sent us some before pictures of his latest acquisition.

Carbon Fiber Y-Pipe Boosts Power on Porsche Panamera

Now being that this is the ultimate in luxury sedan, we want to make sure we keep it subtle, but still sexy.  So along with our plans to install a Vorsteiner aero kit to go with our Vorsteiner wheels, we are also adding hints of carbon fiber.  One part we just installed is the Agency Power carbon fiber Y-Pipe.  Back in 2011 we developed this part on a different Panamera Turbo here with great success.  After offering the part in aluminum for a while, we decided to also create it in carbon fiber.  Though the powdercoated aluminum looks good, there is nothing more sexy than some carbon fiber under the hood!

The throttle body on the Panamera Turbo is the same size as the Cayenne Turbo which we also use on our 996TT and 997TT TB upgrade kits. The stock YPipe is a 2 piece (halfs) plasic Y design that is smooth on the inside. The bad part about the stock one is it goes from a 78mm ID at the throttlebody down to a appx 2inch 51mm diameter Y split which then goes to rubber boost hoses that expand under pressure. Both of these are a power robbers! If you retain the stock design and stock diameter hoses, you cannot gain power no matter the Y-Pipe material. This is why we made a complete YPipe kit which retains a 3inch aluminum design all the way to the factory end piece connections.

Now because you are replacing all the factory parts with this 3 inch diameter pipe, its a tight fit in there as you can see.  The mouth of the Y-Pipe slides just on to the throttle body and this is secured with the coupler as pictured.  Having been driving around with this in our own car now for a couple of weeks, the improved throttle response from increased air flow going into the throttle body is definitely a plus!

BMW E36 M3 gets a Jolt of Power with VF Supercharger Kit

In most of our project cars we use the VF Engineering Supercharger kit. We tell you about the bolt on power this thing possess and how it is probably one of the best bolt-on systems around. Although we have a lot of experience with VF Engineering, we love to hear what customers think of the VF Supercharger Kits. This is our sales guy Ahmed’s (ahmed@vividracing.com ext. 231) customer, that not only installed the supercharger himself, but then gave us some awesome before and after pictures. Here is the exact review he left for the VF Engineering VF350 Supercharger System 6psi BMW E36 M3 3.2L 95-99,

“A couple weeks ago I installed the Supercharger Kit made by VF Engineering for my 1999 e36 M3 Estoril Blue coupe. I have to tell you, after installing the kit myself (I’m not an auto mechanic and I took my sweet time, since the car is not my daily driver) I couldn’t be any happier. I also like the way I was able to install the flash programming to my ECU myself at home with the Hex Flash programming kit loaded on my laptop. It was money well spent to not have to remove the ECU and wait for the time it takes to ship in both directions. I am especially happy about how much stronger my car runs. It’s very noticeable and puts a smile on my face when I drive it. It’s like getting a new car, only with way way more power.

I had Technical support help from the folks at VF Engineering and there were two people there that helped me when I was unsure of something in the instructions. Tech support specialist Jeff helped me with some minor installations questions I had. I was surprised when he was helping me during what I would consider non-business hours and then there was Tech support specialist Nik who helped me with the Hex Flash programming on a Sunday night at 11pm. Nik returned my calls, emails and texts every time I needed some help. Typically that was evenings or on the weekend, but he was also available during the day. I hope those guys get compensated for working all those odd hours. Nik brought a whole new meaning to Customer Service when I really needed them and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend not only their SC kit, but be assured they will help get you up and running, should you need some with the install.

Finally I should send Kudos to Ahmed at Vividracing.com who was very helpful and also provided me with excellent customer service when I was researching the SC kit and trying to decide on where to get it from. They were competitive in their pricing and since they are located in Arizona, I only paid for shipping and no CA state sales tax, which would have been much more then the shipping cost. When Ahmed couldn’t answer a question about the VF Engineering SC kit he got right on the phone, called them and called me back in a timely fashion. You can bet when I’m looking for future items that Vividracing.com sells I will be getting in contact with them again.”

After receiving this review, we responded and asked him to supply before and after pictures if he had them. Not only did we get pictures, but we got a more in depth explanation about the way he went about the install. Here’s what he said about his install and some details that might be important for someone doing this on their own.

“Attached are some pictures for you. You may notice that with the new Hex Flash program I didn’t put the MAF sensor back in since VF Engineering doesn’t require it’s use anymore and I was able to shorten the intake as a result, which also meant I didn’t need to remove the front bumper or move the horns for my install and it looks much cleaner.”

Through trial and error we now know that videos are better than pictures, pictures are better than nothing and the more exotic the car or build, the better! Last time we featured a Lamborghini Aventador, the comments and views poured in, we are excited to see what reaction this video elicits.
