Vivid Racing is proud to announce that we now have the SSR GTX01 wheel in stock and ready for immediate shipping. The SSR Wheels’ GTX01 series is a sports-inspired 10-spoke wheel line that features three different face types: flat face, medium concave face and deep concave face. The availability of different face options gives way for increasing levels of depth, based on the wheel’s width and offset. Flow Forming Technology is used to make these wheels, resulting in their improved strength and lighter weight when compared to others. The GTX01 wheel comes in dark silver and flat black ranging from 17-inches to 19-inches.

Inspired by the research and development of SSR Wheels use in Super GT, the GTX01’s (FFT‐R) Flow Forming process allows for a lightweight and strong wheel that is ideal for street and track use. Detailed machining of the face and spokes of the GTX01 reduce excess weight of the wheel while maintaining the strength and rigidity you would seek in a sporty motorsports wheel.”

SSR SP1 Wheels Spectrum Silver For Porsche 930

There is a little hidden project going on that involves a Porsche 930 and these brand new SSR SP1 Wheels!  The Spectrum Silver wheels give off a unique rainbow of light affect that looks brilliant against the dark forged alloy.  The ultra deep, step lip design is ideal for the highly desired widebody Porsche 911.  The front wheel is a 18×9.0 -7mm offset and the rear is a 18×12 -32mm offset with both in a 5×130 bolt pattern for the Porsche of course.  Some SSR Wheels are available for immediate shipping where others are custom built like this set and come from Japan.

New SSR Professor CV04 Wheel Revealed

When it comes to Japanese wheels, there are a few key players.  One of them being SSR Wheels.  Speed Star Racing released its first 3 piece wheel in 1971 and has never looked back.  Both JWL and VIA certified, SSR Wheels can be seen on performance track cars such as BMW, to the most iconic JDM show vehicles around.  Vivid Racing even showed off a new wheel for them at SEMA 2013 on our Project BMW M5 F10!  This year at SEMA 2015, they released a couple new styles.  This included the new SSR CV04 & CV04s (Step Lip).  Both wheels are a 3 Piece design and are available in sizes 19″ 20″ 21″, where the 20″ & 21″ is also offered in step lip rim.  Like most custom wheels, widths range from 7″ up to 12.5″ for your big power cars like the Porsche, Viper, GTR, Corvette, and others.  Standard finishes are Titan Silver and Black, but of course Vivid Racing can custom finish wheels ANY color you want! Centercaps included.  Shop all SSR Wheels Available Here or contact us for more information on these at 1.480.966.3040.

SSR Releases New Fitment for 370Z

Our sales guy Sean who is our 370Z guru, came across this release from SSR. 370Z fans have been upset since SSR discountinued the Type F and Type C wheels. Many Z fans, Sean included, loved the weightlessness and classic styling of the Type C wheels. Type F held the same legacy, so when they announced the discontinuation, tears were shed all over the Z community. But now, the day has come that all Z fans, everywhere have been waiting for. The arrival of the GTV series. The top pick for Z’s right now is the GTV03, there are more to come, but if you’re looking for an aesthetic upgrade the GTV03′s are it!

Imagine trying to run a marathon, but every breath you take in is through a straw. That’s what the factory intake is doing to your car. Upgrading to a cold air intake allows for more air to come in. The intake then cools that air allowing it to expand faster and in-turn increase horsepower. The Magnum Force Stage 2 Si Intake System for the N55 BMW Turbo cars, take the factory pan setting and replaces it with a cone filter that increases by 300 cfi on average. Think about it like taking a deep breath in with your mouth open rather than taking a deep breath through a straw. You’re not going to be able to run long distance at high speeds if all the air you’re taking in is coming through a straw-like hole. Do your car a favor, take out the straw, and let your car intake air with an open mouth.
